Get ready for a night of laughter, suspense, and plot twists as The Butte Theater presents The Butler Did It, Again!, written by the master of outrageous comedy mysteries. The show, part of The Butte’s community series, kicks off on March 28 and continues through April 13.
This highly-anticipated follow-up to the beloved The Butler Did It is set to thrill and entertain audiences with its zany characters, outrageous humor, and a whodunit that will keep everyone on the edge of their seats.
Directed by Teri McClintock and produced by the Friends of The Butte for our 2025 Community Season, The Butler Did It, Again! is a laugh-out-loud mystery where nothing is as it seems.
The story follows Miss Maple, a savvy publisher and socialite, who rents a plantation house in the eerie swamps of Louisiana. She invites her latest literary discovery, Ruth Dice, to join her for a night of discussions about Ruth’s new book, Conversations with a Ghoul. However, the night takes a dark turn when the house’s owner is found murdered. The question on everyone’s mind: Whodunnit?
In a race against time, a group of flakey detective writers must unravel the puzzle, encountering an alligator, plenty of alibis, and a myriad of suspects. With dazzling plot twists, hilarious characters, and a mix of chills and thrills, The Butler Did It, Again! promises to keep the audience guessing until the final scene.
