February means many things for elementary students

images (1)February means many things for elementary students; cold weather, runny noses, upcoming TCAP assessments, Valentine’s Day, President’s Day and now P/T Conferences and Pennies for Patients. This year, Cresson ES will be holding a second round of Parent/Teacher Conferences in February. P/T Conferences will be on Thursday, February 21st. There will NO SCHOOL for Cresson Elementary students on this day. There is also NO SCHOOL for CC-V school district on Monday, February 18th in observance of President’s Day. Our third graders will begin TCAP testing on Feb. 12th & 13th. It is important for students to attend school on both test dates, well-rested and prepared to do their best. Families can help their children be successful test-takers by feeding them a well-balanced diet during testing season, having them go to bed a bit earlier than usual and encouraging them to do their best, take their time, read the entire test carefully, and check their answers. Cresson Elementary will be participating in Pennies for Patients in an effort to raise money for children with leukemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers. Students and staff will be donating and collecting change during the month of February.
