County Administrator Sheryl Decker Retires

End of an era. Sheryl Decker, who has served as the Teller County administrator for 17 years, and as a Teller employee since early 1996, officially steps down during an emotional farewell at last week’s county commissioners meeting. Decker was heavily lauded for her accomplishments last week, and in working under eight different board of commissioners. More specifically, she was recognized for her team-oriented management style and in working to keep politics out of the running of government operations. The commissioners announced that the national search for her replacement has been reduced to four finalists. Photo and caption by Rick Langenberg
