Shooting Nights in Victor, sponsored by the Teller  Rifles group.  A number of us get together almost every Friday night at the 50′ indoor shooting range downstairs at the Elks Lodge in Victor at 7 p.m. for contests with a .22LR pistol or rifle. Last Friday there were 10 of us and not one Baldwin.  Karen M. had her brand new shooter there and handily outshot most of the boys. Who said girls can’t shoot?  The entrance (white door) is on the southside parking lot level. (Mind your head going in!)

You don’t have to be a member of Teller Rifles. (Though it’s free, most of us leave a donation for the Elks building fund to help maintain the range.)  The Teller Rifles Challenge still stands. Best shooting last Friday was a ’78’. Fame, Glory, and Prizes, await, if you can score better than an ’94’! come and join us and show us your stuff.

Saturday, Jan. 29

The Shining Mountain  Golf Course and Event Center is closed for the season.  But the spacious facility is still open for events.  If interested in hosting your event at Shining Mountain, call 719-687-7587.

Sunday, Jan. 30. NFL Playoff Frenzy.  The AFC and NFC Championship games will be held on Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.  For great playoff action, check out McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide (see NFL wrap-up in this week’s issue), the Blue Moose Saloon and other area establishments. This game will determine who will be headed to Super Bowl 56.
