Joe “Philly Joe” Corrigan, one of our more colorful characters in the High Country, is TMJ’s Guest Predictor of key NFL Action. Yes, with the up and down state of the Denver Broncos, more viewers are checking out other teams to enhance their football experience (Just in case we don’t make the playoffs.) Here are “Philly Joe’s” preliminary predictions for some Week 12 games of the season and a few observations. These were actually made prior to the recent results, but Philly Joe (yes, a strong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles) has that Nostradamus touch of looking into the future and being right on most occasions. If you want to argue with Joe, then you can probably run into him at McGinty’s Pub in Divide.
Well, it’s Thanksgiving weekend and I finally got my smiling face in the paper, but they left my upset pick out which was my ” birds” over my second favorite team the Broncos.
I wonder if anyone has my picture on their dartboard yet.
Since I used most of my space on my monolog last week I’ll go right to my picks.
This week’s point spreads, which I don’t know at this time I don’t see anybody being more than a seven point spread. I see most games being between 2.5 to 3.5 and not much more so here we go. I have posted the records I know of, at the time of this writing.
Las Vegas Raiders 5-4 at Dallas Cowboys 7-2
Ah, my two favorite teams. ( YOU CAN JUST FLIP DAT)
Raiders have more to play for but Dallas is just a better team. “Go for the Dallas boys”
LA Rams 7 -3 at Green Bay 8-2
Not sure what the weather is going to be but it might help the guys on the frozen tundra. Go Pack.
Pittsburgh Steelers 5-3 at Cincinnati Bengals 5-4
Always been a closet Stealers fan being from PA but I’m not sure how big ” Big Ben will be. They are both in the race but I think the BENGALS wants to beat Pittsburgh more than Lady mushers want to win the Iditarod race in Alaska. I’m thinking the Cats
Philadelphia Eagles 4-6 at NY Giant 3-6
I Was impressed with my ” birds” . The guys I went with didn’t talk, all the way home, but I had a blast. Not knowing the results of the Eagles/Saints game (as of this writing), I’m still going to pick the Eagles. Regardless of the outcome if this game, I’m going with the Birds.
LA Chargers 5 -4 at your Denver Broncos 5-5
I still believe in the Broncos, not so much the Chargers. With a week of to heal the ” bird bites ” and if ” “Teddy Bear ” (Teddy Bridgewater) doesn’t have to make any game winning tackles ,I say “Go Broncos.
And my upset pick. Chicago 3-6 at Detroit 0 -8
If the Lions are going to win a game this year this is probably there best chance, and even if they do win, they could still get the first pick in next year’s draft. Go Detroit.
