Wellness Walk. Scheduled for Sept.22 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the lower level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.

The Teller County Commissioners will meet on Sept. 23 at 9 a.m. in the Centennial Building in Cripple Creek.
Gallop in the Garden. This is a 5K Fun Run/Jog/Walk in Garden of the Gods Park on Sept. 23 at 3:30 p.m. Meet at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center. Free admission.
Social Media in Our Backyard. Scheduled for Sept. 23 at the Ute Pass Cultural Center. Social media is an essential part of marketing and sharing of information in our lives. Businesses have discovered how having active social media leads to success. There is a cooperative effort in Teller County that is seeing a benefit in communication trainings to enhance social media skills. “Social Media in OUR Backyard” is designed to help develop social networking. There’s an event happening on September 23 at the Ute Pass Cultural Center in Woodland Park. You are invited to learn from a leader in the social media industry. Kevin Knebl, one of the best-known social media marketers in the world, is presenting during a live presentation. There is also additional training in breakout sessions for Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Friday, Sept. 24
Final week of Farmers Market. Our Vendors come from all over Colorado and provide a variety of products to choose from. Including, Colorado fruits and vegetables, fresh baked bread, honey, coffee, food trucks, and more. We have space for 100 vendors, providing a large variety of products. Tee-off Time. The Shining Mountain Golf Course is open for daily play for the 2021 season, and the course is in great condition. Check out some of the regular events. In addition, the clubhouse bar is open, along with the driving range and chipping area. Two Mile High Club Aspen Tours. Come up the mountain to Cripple Creek this fall to see the colorful aspens and help the Two Mile High Club take care of our beloved donkeys! The Aspen Tour this year is self-guided and begins at the Heritage Center. These tours are scheduled for the weekends of Sept. 25-26 and Oct. 2-3.
