Teller County, CO, April 3, 2018– On April 2, 2018 the Teller County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) responded to an Armed Robbery at approximately 10:40 pm at the Alta Convenience Store in Divide, Colorado where an armed man confronted the store clerk with a black semi-automatic pistol and demanded cash and cigarettes before taking the clerk’s cell phone, the store’s cordless phone, and ripping the base set from its connection. The robber then made off with cash, cigarettes, and the two phones. The phones were later recovered by deputies along Highway 24.
TCSO is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and a person of interest in this case.
The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and the public should notify local law enforcement immediately if seen and not attempt contact.
TCSO is asking the public to contact 719-687-9652 if they can identify either of these individuals or if they have information related to this robbery.
