Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce
The Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce will host the Woodland Park RE-2 School District Candidates Forum on Monday, Oct. 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ute Pass Cultural Center (210 E. Midland Avenue).
All certified candidates for the RE-2 School Board election have been invited to participate. This forum provides a vital opportunity for voters to hear directly from those seeking to serve on the School Board. Candidates will offer opening and closing statements and respond to questions posed by the Chamber moderators. These questions will focus on the duties of a school board member and the unique challenges and opportunities facing the RE-2 School District.
For more than 20 years, the Greater Woodland Park Chamber has hosted Candidate Forums at the local, state, and federal levels. These events are designed to foster transparency, civic engagement, and thoughtful dialogue within the community.
“An informed citizenry is the foundation of a strong democracy,” said Debbie Miller, President & CEO of the Greater Woodland Park Chamber. “Our Candidate Forums allow residents to hear multiple perspectives in one setting, ask tough questions, and make confident decisions at the ballot box. We encourage every member of our community to attend.”
The Chamber extends an open invitation to citizens, parents, educators, and media outlets to attend this important civic event. Coverage and community presence are essential in ensuring the voices of Woodland Park voters are heard and reflected in the democratic process.
Attendance is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so early arrival is recommended
