The Munchie Cottage in Divide has been open for quite some time now, and many know it as being a prime stop for breakfast on the go. In fact, the small eatery is pretty much always packed with people enjoying their coffees and treats as well as those grabbing something for the road.
Even though their breakfast dishes may have given them their stellar reputation, they are also a good place to stop in the afternoon. Along with their delicious coffees, teas and breakfast dishes, the Munchie Cottage also has a tasty lunch menu.
The Munchie Cottage is one of the newest eateries around and it came about after the famous Coffee Cottage Coffee Shop in Woodland Park and the Margaret’s Munchies food truck merged into one. But since they have been open, they have not only pleased customers with their espresso drinks and baked goodies, they have also become a prime spot for sandwiches.
The Munchie Cottage is open every day from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., making it the perfect stop for lunch or even an early dinner. Last summer, the eatery posted the addition of their Monte Cristo sandwich, which has been the talk of the town.
The place is also becoming known for its sandwiches and burgers. Along with the Monte Cristo, the Munchie Cottage offers sandwiches like a BLT, a club, grilled cheese and a grilled cheese with veggies.
Also from the grill sandwich lovers will enjoy entrees like a grilled ham and cheese, turkey and cheese, turkey, ham and cheese, or their turkey cranberry special. They even have the option of a soup and sandwich special.
For those craving a burger, the eatery also has a decent selection. The Munchie Cottage has affordable prices for their burgers, cheeseburgers and bacon cheeseburgers that all come with chips.
And for those who want to try a different kind of burger, they can get a yak burger for just a dollar more. The restaurant also has a patty melt on their menu that can be ordered with beef or yak meat.
And for their visitors in the afternoon that aren’t in the mood for coffee or espresso, the eatery also has other hot and cold beverages to enjoy. The Munchie Cottage has a large selection of herbal teas, a tropical smoothie, and flavored Italian sodas.
