Chamber After Hours. Chamber Business After Hours is Teller County’s largest networking event.  The next After Hours is hosted by Community Banks of Colorado (651 Scott Avenue, Woodland Park) and is scheduled for Nov. 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce members are encouraged to attend.  Take advantage of this opportunity to network and catch up with your friends, clients and customers, plus meet new members in an informal setting. The Green Mountain Falls Board of Trustees will meet on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. in the GMF Town Hall, with a workshop set at 6 p.m. The regular meeting is available in-person and on Zoom.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

Wellness Walk. Scheduled for Nov. 20 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.

Thursday, Nov. 21

TOPS. Takes Off Pounds Sensibly.  Meets every Thursday morning at 9 a.m. in the basement of Church in the Wildwood (10585 Ute Pass Ave.) Green Mountain Falls, CO 80819. Affordable, effective weight-loss.

The Woodland Park City Council will meet on Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at the City Council Chambers next to city hall. The meeting is available in-person and on Zoom.

Friday, Nov. 22

Snazzy-Jazzy Christmas Concert. The Woodland Park “Swing Factory” Big Band will be performing at the Butte Theater Friday, November 22 at 7 PM benefitting “A Place For Kids” Childcare and Exploratorium. SWING FACTORY has been in existence for over 25 years. Much like its parent ensemble, The Woodland Park Wind Symphony, Swing Factory has attracted some of the finest musicians of the Pikes Peak Area. Having performed with Bill Watrous and Steve Watts of Dotsero, this 18-piece Big Band continues building a reputation of the highest levels of performance and entertainment. The band is thrilled to make this premiere performance in Cripple Creek benefitting such a worthwhile benefactor. Donations are welcome for the new childcare center being built in Cripple Creek. This 9964 square foot facility will accommodate 66 children, 16 infant/toddlers, 20 preschoolers and 30 school age children when completed. Funding is underway and your contribution will help. Smarty Pints Trivia Night.  This is a joint effort between the Ute Pass Cultural Center and the Rampart Library District. Gather your team for another Smarty Pints Trivia Night at the Ute Pass Cultural Center on Nov. 22. This time we will have holiday themed questions. The doors open at 5:30 pm with the bar and the Prime Kitchen Food Truck will be open and serving.  The trivia game starts promptly at 6 p.m., so come early to save a table for your team. We recommend no more than 8 players on a team. Aspen Mine Center’s Thanksgiving Feast. The Aspen Mine Center’s 22nd annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner Celebration will be held on Wednesday, Nov 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will occur at the AMC East facility on 166  East Bennett Avenue. Two servings will occur due to the popularity of this celebration, which often attracts several hundred people. The event is sponsored by a variety of organizations, including Teller County Resources Group. Miracle on Mistletoe Mountain. This Christmas show is hosted by the Butte Theater in Cripple Creek and it runs from Nov. 29 to Dec. 29 with a variety of performances scheduled throughout the week.  It’s Christmas in Cripple Creek, and Clara, an angel treading on thin ice with her heavenly bosses, receives a last chance at redemption. Tasked with aiding Joe and Molly Kelly, proprietors of a boarding house for the downtrodden, Clara must thwart the nefarious plans of Mr. Parker, a conniving tycoon bent on seizing their beloved home. Echoing the timeless charm of It’s a Wonderful Life, this captivating tale is a tribute to love and sacrifice set against the backdrop of the exhilarating Cripple Creek gold rush era. Gold Camp Christmas. Escape from the modern distractions, and celebrate an old-fashioned Christmas in Cripple Creek and Victor from mid-November through December 31. Holiday activities will kick off with the nightly Gold Camp Christmas Holiday Headframe Lighting throughout Cripple Creek and Victor. Mountain Artists Holiday Show and Sale. Just in time for holiday gift purchases, the Woodland Park Mountain Artists Group would like to invite everyone in the Pikes Peak region to attend this fantastic art show event.  The 2024 Mountain Artists Holiday Show and Sale is Saturday, November 30 at the Ute Pass Cultural Center in Woodland Park.  This special event is free and open to the public.  For nearly forty (40!) years the Mountain Artists Group has provided this excellent show in order to make Woodland Park your art destination.  This year it will be even bigger and better.  We will have nearly 30 artists exhibiting, showing and selling their handmade art and wares.  This is the Pikes Peak’s chance to obtain original, one-of-a-kind artwork that exists nowhere else in the world.  Made in Colorado – our art is special, unique and provides a gift that speaks to the heart.  And they’re fun!  We invite everyone in the Pikes Peak region to come to mountains – where it’s cool!  And join us at the 2024 Mountain Artists Holiday Show and Sale. Artists Sunday. Communities from coast-to-coast, large and small, are celebrating Artists Sunday on December 1, 2024 by highlighting local artists, creators and makers and promoting the giving of artistic items and experiences for the holidays. Woodland Park has hosted an event under the guidance of Reserve Our Gallery since 2021! Join artists as they work. This event is like attending an open studio where you see artists at work and then you can buy items they have for sale.
