It’s onto Week 11 in the world of NFL Madness and what locals were hoping would finally become the year of a Denver Broncos’ rebound. So far, that rebound has encountered a wild and surprising journey with plenty of ups and downs.
But as a whole, the Broncos have fared better than most critics and insiders predicted at the start of the season, with some saying they wouldn’t surpass five W’s for the year. But many teams in the league, they are plagued by a lack of consistency.
The team has encountered some ugly times, such as a recent outing against the Baltimore Ravens, which turned into an old-fashion ass-kicking. Then, the week prior to that debacle, they looked like THE TEAM OF CHAMPIONS when they devoured the Carolina Panthers.
Luckily, the Broncos are returning home and are back to playing a regular afternoon game. Enough of those late morning contests, which are really tough for the fans. It seems the Broncos don’t fare well too well either in those earlier games.
This Sunday, they host the Atlanta Falcons, a team they really haven’t played too much in recent years. Game time is 2:05. This could be another challenge for the Broncos, as the Falcons have looked pretty impressive this season. In fact, at the time of this writing, they were sporting a 6-3 record.
Hopefully, all bugs will get worked out in the Bronco offense, and Rookie Quarterback and Captain Bo Nix (who is now being compared with a more efficient version of Tim Tebow), will exhibit the traits he demonstrated in their thrashing of the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints.
If you are looking for a great place to take in the game, don’t forget McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide, the sponsor of our fine NFL Page and Broncos’ preview. McGinty’s, with their sports bar setup and winner of many Best Of awards in the High Country, offers a prime opportunity to view nearly all of the NFL games and partake in some great game food and drink specials. McGinty’s also sports a loyal group of Bronco fans and some enthusiastic cynics too.
Overall, it is a great game atmosphere. Additionally, McGinty’s sports a friendly staff and has food entrees just made for Bronco football. It also is a prime spot for Thursday night games, which aren’t easily available to most fans, and of course, college ball.
Other than the Broncos, there are some great games in store this weekend across the NFL TV screens. A few specialties include the Chiefs against the Bills, which has big implications for the AFCWest; along with the Chargers and Bengals. And early-game watchers will enjoy the Ravens against the Steelers. Can King Russ (Russell Wilson) take down Lamar Jackson and company? After what happened to us, we may be pulling for Russ and the Terrible Towel fanatics for the sake of paybacks.
Enjoy Week 11.
