NFL Watching Tips for Week 10

Brought to you by McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub

It’s onto Week 10 in the world of NFL Madness and what locals were hoping would finally become the year of a Denver Broncos’ rebound. So far, that rebound has encountered a wild and surprising journey with plenty of ups and downs.

But as a whole, the Broncos have fared better than most critics and insiders predicted at the start of the season, with some saying they wouldn’t surpass five W’s for the year. Now, those so-called experts are eating their words with the Broncs currently boasting a winning record.

However, it is now time to face the K.C. Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, as Denver plays on the road late Sunday morning against one of their fiercest and most ruthless football enemies for the last decade.  To make it worse, they play at Arrowhead Stadium, a place that has not treated the Broncos too well, or for that matter, any NFL team challenging K.C.

Game time for the Nov. 10 contest is 11 a.m., just in time for a late breakfast, early lunch and a few cold ones to soak in the atmosphere and hopefully, to avoid a Chief scalping.

Hopefully, all bugs will get worked out in the Bronco offense, and Rookie Quarterback and Captain Bo Nix (who is now being compared with a more efficient version of Tim Tebow), will exhibit the traits he demonstrated in their recent stomping of the  Carolina Panthers.

Regardless of your pigskin affiliation, this is a great rivalry locally as our local abode abounds with plenty of Bronco fans, and yes, hordes of Chief-Heads.  So, the atmosphere could get testy at times.

If you are looking for a great place to take in the game, don’t forget McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide, the sponsor of our fine NFL Page and Broncos’ preview. McGinty’s, with their sports bar setup and winner of many Best Of awards in the High Country, offers a prime opportunity to view nearly all of the NFL games and partake in some great game food and drink specials.  McGinty’s also sports a loyal group of Bronco fans and some enthusiastic cynics too. They will need plenty of fan support on Sunday morning.

Overall, it is a great game atmosphere. Additionally, McGinty’s sports a friendly staff and has food entrees just made for Bronco football. It also is a prime spot for Thursday night games, which aren’t easily available to most fans, and college ball.

And if Bronco football is  not to your liking, plenty of alternative options abound on Sunday. A few great afternoon options include the Cowboys versus the Eagles, or Titans against the Chargers. Also, the Steelers square off against the Commanders in the same morning slot as the Bronco game, with the former Redskins (sorry, like that name much better) still in ecstasy over their miracle Hail-Mary finish in the final second of play in a showdown in late October against the Bears.

Enjoy Week 10.
