NFL Watching Tips for Week 7

Brought to you by McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub

It’s onto Week Seven in the world of NFL Madness and what locals were hoping would finally become the year of a Denver Broncos’ rebound. So far, that rebound has encountered a wild and interesting ride that has fared much better in recent weeks as Denver has begun to occasionally unleash a little offense.   And for the first time in months, the Broncos have regained the national spotlight with a return to Thursday Night Football.

This time, the Broncos travel to the party city itself, New Orleans, for a game against the Saints.  This is a big game personally for head coach Sean Payton.  New Orleans is where Payton reeved up his coaching career with a Super Bowl triumph, and an impressive win record, so he has a lot on the line from a pride standpoint since exiting New Orleans.

Game time for the Oct. 17 contest is 6:15 pm.

Hopefully, more bugs will get worked out in the Bronco offense, and Rookie Quarterback and Captain Bo Nix (who is getting compared to John Elway, and his rookie start with the Broncs) will exhibit the traits he demonstrated in the pre-season period and in the team’s routs against Tampa Bay and the Las Vegas.

This is a unique contest, as rarely have these teams combated each other before.

If you are looking for a great place to take in the game, don’t forget McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide, the sponsor of our fine NFL Page and Broncos’ preview. McGinty’s, with their sports bar setup and winner of many Best Of awards in the High Country, offers a prime opportunity to view nearly all of the NFL games and partake in some great game food and drink specials.  McGinty’s also sports a loyal group of Bronco fans and some enthusiastic cynics too.

Overall, it is a great game atmosphere. Additionally, McGinty’s sports a friendly staff and has food entrees just made for Bronco football. It also is a prime spot for Thursday night games, which aren’t easily available to most fans, and college ball.

And if Bronco football is not to your liking on Sunday, plenty of alternative options abound during the weekend. A few highlights include the Chiefs versus the 49ers, or maybe the Lions square off with the Vikings.  Then for Sunday night, it’s the Steelers versus the Jets. Plenty of choices are available for NFL football and college ball, as the leaf season starts to unwind.

Enjoy Week Seven.
