NFL Watching Tips for Week 6

Brought to you by McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub

It’s onto Week Six in the world of NFL Madness and what locals were hoping would finally become the year of a Denver Broncos’ rebound. So far, that rebound has encountered a rocky but interesting ride, depending on whether you like defensive or offensive-charged games. And once again, we got a dandy this Sunday, as the Broncs square up against the LA Chargers, a vitally important division match-up in the AFC Wild West League.

Like the games against the Raiders, Broncos-Chargers’ contests generally provide great drama, so hold onto your seats or beverages of choice.

Game time for the Broncos/Chargers home showdown is set at 2:05 p.m. on Oct. 13.  Hopefully, more bugs will get worked out in the Bronco offense, and Rookie Quarterback and Captain Bo Nix will exhibit the traits he demonstrated in the pre-season period and in the game against Tampa Bay. In addition, the Mile High atmosphere may serve as an additional weapon.

These teams plain and simply don’t like each other, a feud that stems back to the antics of former Charger quarterback Philip Rivers, who despised the Broncos with a passion. But frankly, the feeling was mutual.

If you are looking for a great place to take in the game, don’t forget McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide, the sponsor of our fine NFL Page and Broncos’ preview. McGinty’s, with their sports bar setup and winner of many Best Of awards in the High Country, offers a prime opportunity to view nearly all of the NFL games and partake in some great game food and drink specials.  McGinty’s also sports a loyal group of Bronco fans and some enthusiastic cynics too.

Overall, it is a great game atmosphere. Additionally, McGinty’s sports a friendly staff and has food entrees just made for Bronco football. It also is a prime spot for Thursday night games, which aren’t easily available to most fans, and college ball.

And if Bronco football is  not to your liking on Sunday, plenty of alternative options abound, such as the Pittsburgh Steelers versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Go Terrible Towel Steelers, as a Raider loss would further elevate the status of the Broncos.

Or, how about those Cowboys, who square off against the Detroit Lions. These are just a few suggestions, as McGinty’s will showcase a wide variety of NFL action.

Enjoy Week Six.
