Annual Citywide Cleanup Returns to Woodland Park

Keep Woodland Park Beautiful will host its 22nd Annual Citywide Cleanup on June 29, 2024, at 9:00 AM.

The annual event has been a longstanding project for the committee as a part of its mission to reduce litter and promote responsible handling of waste in and around the city of Woodland Park. The clean-up has welcomed the assistance of hundreds of volunteers over the years donating their time to pick up accumulated trash in parks, schools, neighborhoods, and alongside roadways.

Committee members Sarah Horwood and Kassidi Gilgenast are leading the organizing of this year’s event. New for 2024, the committee partnered with the Waste Management organization to help boost the clean-up efforts. Waste Management will be providing two dumpsters at the event to assist with disposal during the clean-up, volunteers to help throughout the community, as well as providing local residents the opportunity to bring trash and recyclables to the Transfer Station in Divide between 10:30-12:00 PM on Saturday, June 29th. Photo identification is required for drop-off trash services.

The 2024 Keep Woodland Park Beautiful event will begin with volunteer check-in at the Memorial Park pavilion in Woodland Park at 8:30 AM. Registration is greatly appreciated so organizers can plan for participant turnout. In an effort to save time and help the committee with advance event preparations, registration can be completed online by visiting https://www.city-woodlandpark.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=509. Organizers will also have onsite registration available. Volunteers will be assigned a focus area of the community and set off to work in their assigned areas. When clean-up is complete, volunteers are invited back to the pavilion for entertainment, free food, games, and more!
