The 2024 Woodland Park high school track & field season is off and running. The team consists of approximately 55 highly motivated student athletes. Officially, the season began on February 26th. However, there were as many as 24 athletes that have been attending off-season workouts since December. That type of commitment is paying off!
On March 9th the team competed in their first meet. At the end of the day, 9 athletes, in 9 events, climbed into the WPHS record books. 45 personal bests were set, and a few athletes have already punched their ticket to the State Track & Field meet in late May.
On March 20th, the team traveled to Harrison HS and again had a great day, despite missing several key athletes. The team will travel to Pueblo on March 23rd and to Parker, CO on March 30th.
