Earlier this evening, the police department was contacted by a member of law enforcement who discovered Ms. Ford’s vehicle on Forest Service Road 307A in the Rampart Range within El Paso County during patrol duty. Shortly after noticing the car, the Deputy discovered a woman believed to be Ms. Ford deceased. Her dog was located unharmed inside the vehicle and is being cared for.
While the cause and manner of anyone’s death will be determined by the proper authorities, Ms. Ford’s death does not appear to involve any foul play. The police department extends our condolences to Ms. Ford’s family and friends. Unless the circumstances dictate otherwise, there will be no further updates on this incident.
