Broncos Versus the Bears
It’s onto Week Four in the grand Denver Broncos and Russell Wilson Revival Tour. Buy your tickets at your prime and favorite Teller sports bar, while they last.
Game time is 11 a.m. for this Sunday (Oct. 1) showdown, as the Broncs take on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Perfect time for an early lunch, and a few beverages; and hopefully, a chance to experience a Broncos win and not a close loss, which has been much of the story for this season. It has gotten a bit like a Greek tragedy story, but plenty of time remains this season.
Due to deadlines, we didn’t quite have the results of the Miami game, prior to press time.
So, we are winging it a bit with our early picks.
Both the Broncos and Bears have experienced their share of early season turmoil. The Broncos are trying to avenge a 16-14 loss from the last time these teams met up, which was in 2019; a game that featured a wild finish. In the Bronco/Bears matchups, it’s been fairly even between both teams. Most oddsmakers are giving the Broncos a slight 2.5 edge.
However, the oddsmakers haven’t done too well with their Bronco picks this season.
Then, the Broncos will host the New York Jets the following Sunday, although much of the preliminary gunfire for that bout has been defused due to the unfortunate season-ending injury of Aaron Rodgers.
If you are looking for a great and fun place to check out the action, don’t forget McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide, the “The Center of the Known Universe,” the sponsor of our fine NFL Football page and Bronco previews and a slew of predictions.
McGinty’s, with its sports bar setup and winner of many Best Of awards in the High Country, offers a prime opportunity to view nearly all of the NFL games and partake in some great game food and drink specials. For Broncos’ games, they are offering great deals on Coors draft beers and Bloody Mary’s. And McGinty’s is now showcasing Thursday Night NFL games.
Enjoy and Go Broncos
College Showdowns
If the Broncos game doesn’t fit your schedule and college pigskin is your thing, you are in definite luck this weekend. Check out CU, the talk of the nation these days, as they square off against USC in Boulder on Saturday (Sept. 30) at 10 a.m. Despite the unfortunate Oregon disaster, (the Buffs first loss of the year) a win would really enhance CU’s national ranking and still bring about regular appearances of Mr. “Prime Time” (Coach Deion Sanders). Meanwhile, Air Force will host San Diego State on Saturday evening. McGinty’s is a great place for college games.
