WPHS Panther Track Teams Crush Personal Records and Credit Captains’ Leadership for Winning Culture

The Woodland Park High School Panther track teams traveled to Garry Berry on April 28, braving the cold temperatures and high winds, and still achieved impressive results. The teams crushed numerous personal records, a testament to their hard work and dedication.

With only two weeks left in the regular track season, the Panthers plan to continue their winning streak and have more athletes move into the record books and qualify for state. This success would not be possible without the leadership and dedication of its nine captains, who are peer coaches, as described by Coach Grier.

The nine captains are Senior Dan Summeril, Senior Emma Graber, Senior Hailey Elliott, Senior Ella Hage, Senior Lorna Stone, Junior Sam Godwin, Junior Ian Waltermire, Junior Dawson Tisdall, and Sophomore Cole Bodie. These athletes have gone above and beyond to help create a winning culture emphasizing respect, selfless service, commitment, the relentless pursuit of excellence, and support for one and all.

The coaching staff wants to publicly thank these nine athletes for their outstanding performance and leadership on and off the track. Go Panthers!

The Panthers will travel to Colorado Springs on May 12th for the TriPeaks League Meet at Grace Center for Athletics.
