Reservations Needed for Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Beginning on January 1, 2020, ALL of Colorado’s 41 State Parks, including Mueller and Dome Rock, will require campers to book their campsites ahead of time.

Campers can make these arrangements starting six months in advance all the way up to the moment they arrive at the park and find an available campsite.

Anyone can reserve a site 24/7 online or by calling 800-244-5613.

This reservation system eliminates the need for campers to gamble on first-come first served spots. Campers who set up in a site without a reservation may be cited and moved from the space. CPW noted that some State Parks have spotty cell service so you are urged to make those reservations before just showing up.
