LIGHTNING STARTS TWO FIRES IN TELLER COUNTY

FIRES ARE 100% CONTAINED

Teller County, CO, on June 13, 2018 –Lightning strikes started two fires in Teller County Wednesday afternoon. The fires were located on Cathedral Ridge and Forest Service Road 339 north of Woodland Park off Highway 67. Both fires were approximately one-quarter acre in size.

Forest Service and local fire service resources which included one helicopter were able to quickly get 100% containment on both fires. No structures were threatened and no residences were evacuated.
