It’s time to dust off those costumes or create a new one! Halloween events, activities and celebrations in the Pikes Peak region are listed here. Included are events for families with little ghosts and goblins as well as parties for spirited adults. Unless otherwise noted, all events are scheduled for Friday Oct. 31 which is, of course, Halloween!
Cripple Creek’s Henry Hack Community Center will once again host the annual Halloween BOOzaar on Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. This provides a safe place for children to have fun, play games and show off their costumes and prizes.
The Thin Air Theater Company will make its final presentations of “Sherlock Holmes and The Cripple Creek Ripper” at the Butte Theater. Showtimes are 7:00 pm on Halloween Friday and on Saturday, Nov. 1 there’s a matinee at 1:00 pm and a final evening performance at 7:00. For tickets, call 719-689-6402 or visit www.ButteTheater.com.

Bronco Billy’s Casino invites patrons to break out their costumes and participate in a costume contest on Halloween. The casino will be awarding cash prizes to the best five costumes, just no masks please.
The Wildwood Casino will be having a costume contest with a first prize of $100.00 and 3 times points earned all day. There’s also a huge pumpkin on display in the casino and the closest guess on the weight of this gourd gets one lucky person 500 Wild Loot Bucks.
The Triple Crown casinos are celebrating Halloween with Creepy Cash Giveaways.
Johnny Nolon’s Saloon & Gambling Emporium will be having a special Halloween cash giveaway on Friday evening.

Friday night Ralf’s Breakroom will be featuring an open juke box, Halloween drink specials and their annual costume contest.
Crystola Roadhouse will be celebrating Halloween both Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8:00 pm. Dallas Alley will be performing on Friday night and you can rock out with Suga Bear on Saturday night. There’s no cover charge for either show, and there’ll be a costume contest on both nights.
The Woodland Park Library will be hosting a Halloween Party for children from 3:00 pm until 5:00 on Halloween Friday in the Children’s Area of the library.
The Woodland Park Community Church will be hosting a family friendly Fall Festival on Halloween Friday from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm.
The High View Baptist Church will be hosting a Trunk or Treat event for children on Halloween Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Merchants at both Gold Hill Square North and Gold Hill Square South will be ready to greet young trick or treaters between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Halloween Friday.
On Halloween night, the Historic Ute Inn will have a costume contest with prizes and live music by Heavens Yes.
Russ’ Place will feature Halloween games, a costume contest with prizes, bar tabs, free shots and there will also be a Halloween Buffet. The fun starts at 7:00 on Halloween night, this Friday.
For the kiddos, the Florissant Grange will be hosting their annual Treat Street on Halloween evening Friday, Oct. 31 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
The Thunderbird Inn will be hosting a Halloween party with live music by One Eleven. The spirited merriment begins at 7:00 on Friday evening.
Green Mountain Falls
On Lake Street in Green Mountain Falls on Halloween Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm families are invited to Trunk or Treat. This is like Trick or Treating, but instead of going door to door; kids will go from car to car. Cars that participate will be decorated with different Halloween themes and candy will be handed out to the kids. The chamber will also have a booth with free hot chocolate & hot apple cider.
On Friday, All Hallows Eve, the Blue Moose Tavern will be celebrating Halloween with a Costume Party, Karaoke and Halloween drink specials.
The family events for Halloween are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30 in downtown Victor. Local downtown merchants will be hosting Trick or Treat Street for the kiddos and this takes place from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. At 5:00, take time out for Pumpkin Bowling and at 5:15 the Pumpkin Derby is scheduled. Make and race your own pumpkin with wheels down Victor Avenue!
On Friday, Oct. 31, the Headframe Tavern will feature live music provided by their own house band, a costume contest and drink specials including Kandy Korn Jello Shots.
