Locals should be prepared for road closures in the area around the USA Pro Challenge Stage 5 Start Village as well as on U.S. Highway 24 on Friday, August 22 while the bicycle race and associated events are in progress. The streets north of U.S. Highway 24 around the Ute Pass Cultural Center and Woodland Park Library will be affected, including parts of Park, Fairview, Laurel, Boundary, and Baldwin Streets as well as South, Henrietta, Midland, and Grace Avenues. Barricades will be in place on these streets from 9 a.m. until early afternoon.

The Farmers Market and Fine Arts Fair on Henrietta Ave will be held as usual from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Woodland Park RE-2 Schools will be closed that day so that students and staff may enjoy the race.
Highways that will be affected by Stage 5 include U.S. Highway 24, U.S. Highway 285, Colorado Highway 9, and Tarryall Road. CDOT will completely close US 24 from Baldwin Street to Trout Creek Road between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. with a rolling barricade that will move west from Woodland Park along US 24 to Tarryall Road in Lake George.

Vehicles travelling westbound on US 24 from Woodland Park prior to the race start at 11 a.m. will not be delayed. Vehicles following the race will be delayed up to 30 minutes. Vehicles traveling eastbound on US 24 toward Woodland Park can expect up to a 60 minute delay as the race passes. Delays in the Woodland Park area should be resolved by around 12:30 p.m. For a complete list of anticipated travel delays along the entire race route, visit http://cotrip.org/content/usapcc/index.html

Spectator parking will be available in multiple locations. Parking areas include the Ute Pass Saddle Club, Wal-Mart, Sun Valley Park, High View Baptist Church, Mountain View Methodist Church, Dayspring Christian Fellowship, Faith Lutheran Church, Woodland Park High School, Columbine Elementary School, and Meadow Wood Sports Complex. ADA parking is available at the corner of Lake and Pine. A free shuttle will transport you to and from the Start Village. The last bus departs for the Start Village at 10:45 a.m. The return bus to the parking lots will run from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
