May 17: Victor Sunnyside Cemetery Tour: 10 a.m. Take a walk through time in Victor’s historic cemetery with Victorite Valdean Petri. The cemetery is southwest of Victor on County Rd #87. $10 per person. Reserve your tickets online at Tickets at the gate are cash only.

May 17: Murder by the Nile at the Victor Elks Lodge: 6 p.m. Egyptian themed murder mystery with entertainment by belly dance troupe. Tickets $20 for singles and $35 for couples. Finger foods served and a cash bar and silent auction. For more information call 689-3529.

May 24: El Paso Gold King Mine Tour: See the place where it all started. The El Paso Mine was built on the site where Bob Womack discovered gold in Poverty Gulch in Cripple Creek. Tour leaves from the Victor Lowell Thomas Museum in Victor at 9:30 a.m. Make reservations online at

May 24 & 25: Museums Open and Garage Sale: The Victor Lowell Thomas Museum and Victor’s Gold Camp Agriculture & Mining Museum open for the summer season. The Victor Citywide Garage Sale is also this weekend. More information at 

Memorial Day through Labor Day Weekend: Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mine Tours – Visit a working gold mine and experience large scale modern surface mining in action. $7.50 per person. Must be 5 or older to take the tour. Details and reservations at

June 21-22: 2nd Annual Victor Gem & Mineral Show: This free event will take place in downtown Victor from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 22. The show will include vendors from across Colorado selling minerals, gems, hand-crafted jewelry, mining antiques, mineral specimens, cabochons, and more. Vendors will be set up on N. 3rd Street between the Post Office and the Victor Elks Lodge. More info at
