Back to work boys, and time for a little fun in the nation’s capital for Week 13 in the Wild and Wacky 2025 NFL season.
The Denver Broncos are still enjoying a Mile High victory lap from their big win on Nov. 16 against the KC Chiefs, dubbed by our fine Colorado sports pundits as maybe their most significant win in 10-plus years. But if not mistaken, aren’t these the same Dooms-day folks who predicted a Bronco loss against Patrick Mahomes and company, such as Trevor Phipps and Jessica of Jessica’s Place and the entire sports staff of The (Colorado Springs) Gazette. Let’s eat those picks, boys and girls and so-called pigskin experts, and doubters of the great Bronco Nation. The 9-2 Broncos are in the hunt for a Super Bowl appearance and are definitely in the driver’s seat for their first AFC Division West championship since 2015.
The Broncos are back in Prime Time this week, with a 6:20 game time for the Nov. 30 showdown with the Washington Commanders (isn’t this the fifth attempted name change of the once Washington Redskins) for a pivotal away game. Reports are circulating that the team’s new stadium (at the site of the old RFK stadium site) is in the planning stage and will be named after our current commander-in-chief. Maybe King Donald will be at the game this Sunday at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland as part of a rallying campaign for renaming the team back to the Redskins.
Well, enough of NFL and sports politics. In all seriousness, the history of the series between these two teams is dead even at 8-8. Bad blood still circulates on the Bronco side due to the old Redskins big crushing and upset Super Bowl victory in 1988. Talk about a genuine Redskin scalping we incurred, and the one loss that still haunts Bronco great quarterback John Elway, even today.
Based on early reports, the Broncos should win this one. In fact, reports even abounded that the NFL may have considered changing the Prime Time matchup due to the fact that the Commanders have lost five consecutive games. However, no game is safe in the NFL these days, with so much parity between all teams. Let’s not take this game lightly.
If you are looking for a great place to enjoy Broncos’ games and all the NFL slug matches, head to McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide, the sponsor of our fine NFL Page and Broncos’ preview. Besides the Broncos’ game, plenty of great matchups are in store this week.
Enjoy Week 13 and Go Broncos.
