Yoga. Community yoga classes are scheduled at the Church in the Wildwood on Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. and another class is slated for Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. These popular classes are led by Beth Knox and Lainie Thomas.

Wellness Walk. Scheduled for Nov. 19 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises are available to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.
Teller County Assessor Talk. Join us for an Assessor’s Meeting focused on agricultural classification in Teller County, featuring updates from both

NFL Football Action. Finally, the Denver Broncos have a needed bye week to help heal their wounds and egos. But fret not, plenty of great action is in store with big playoff implications for Week 12.The Colts and the Chiefs square off during the early series of 11 a.m. games, and then it’s the Cowboys versus the Eagles for the afternoon session, and much, much more during this NFL-packed weekend, as playoff fever sizzles. Great viewing opportunities available in your favorite local sports bar or eatery. So, don’t be afraid to get loud and rowdy, as the action should get lively. This is a great way to support a local business, while having one heck of a good time.

American Red Cross Baby Sitter Boot Camp. Sponsored by the city of Woodland Park, our full-day Babysitter Boot Camp on November 25 from 8 AM – 5 PM gives youth ages 11–17 the skills to care for children and infants, make smart decisions, and be great role models. Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Scheduled at the Aspen Mine Center East building in Cripple Creek on Nov. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This has turned into one of the biggest community-gatherings, prior to the Christmas season. A genuine pre-Thanksgiving feast is provide due to the help of many volunteers. This event is for community building, connection support and service. At the dinner we take time to come together as a community to prepare and serve Thanksgiving meals for those in need. Volunteers can bring food including turkeys and sides, serve and drive meals for those who cannot get to the AMC east building.
Live Music concerts. Upcoming live music concerts at the Chamonix Casino Hotel in Cripple Creek for the next month include the Wallen & Wilson Tribute on November 29, The Malpass Brothers on December 13, and Collective Groove on December 20. Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. This will mark the Butte Theater’s acclaimed Christmas show, which debuts on Nov. 28 and continues through the holiday season. Based on the beloved movie of the same name! Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters in route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil’s former army commander. With a dazzling score featuring well-known standards including “Blue Skies,” “I Love A Piano,” “How Deep Is the Ocean” and the perennial title song, White Christmas is an uplifting, wholesome musical that will delight audiences of all ages. Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. This popular event in Cripple Creek will be held Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. at Pocket Park on Bennett Ave, right next to city hall. Gather with neighbors and friends as we light the community Christmas tree and kick off the holiday season. The evening features the following: Santa’s visit for photos and seasonal cheer; Festive drinks for kids and adults; Carolers spreading classic holiday melodies; Cozy fire pits to keep warm; S’mores and tasty treats and more festive surprises.
