NFL Watching Tips for Week 1

Brought to you by McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub

Finally, the endless gibberish, capped by pre-season predictions and 3,000-plus different insider scenarios, has ended for NFL Season 2025, with the official kick-off slated for this Thursday in the City of Brotherly Love, (Philly, the most ruthless and passionate fans in America, who have gotten more obnoxious after winning Super Bowl LIX.) Yes, the Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football for the opening act of NFL 2025.

The real, real deal, though, especially for Denver Bronco fanatics or haters occurs on Sunday afternoon, as the Broncs host the Tennessee Titans. This is the beginning of NFL Craziness for most area football fans.  Better yet, Sept. 7 will mark the end of official Sean Payton pre-season press conferences. That’s room for celebration and a drink of choice, right there.

Coach Payton practically is unfolding the score of the Broncos Super Bowl triumph early next year in California. Easy does it Sean.

For the record, most football pseudo experts, including TMJ’s own Trevor Phipps and The Gazette’s Woody Paige (who also does TV commentary) are kind of on the same page, in seeing the Broncs making the playoffs again this year, but falling short of a Super Bowl appearance. Woody is even going as far as boasting this team as the best Broncos’ squad in 10 years and envisioning them winning one playoff contest and at least 11 games. The real wild card for the Broncos, according to most reports, hinges on their running game. The defense will prevail as a definite force of intimidation.

But enough of predictions. It’s time for real NFL Action. Game time is set for 2:05 p.m. on Sept. 7.

If you are looking for a great place to take in the game, head to McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide, the sponsor of our fine NFL Page and Broncos’ preview. McGinty’s, with their sports bar setup, offers a prime opportunity to view nearly all of the NFL games and partake in some great game food and drink specials.  McGinty’s also sports a loyal group of Bronco fans and some enthusiastic cynics too.
Another great NFL watching spot is Jess Place in Woodland Park, with a rather vocal crowd of football fans. More on that as the season progresses. Choices for NFL viewing abound in our local abode.

Enjoy Week One.
