249th Celebration of Independence Day Weekend Planned in Cripple Creek

Victor/Cripple Creek American Legion

The Victor-Cripple Creek American Legion Post 171 and the city of Cripple Creek are leading the Independence weekend events (July 4 and July 5) and re-igniting patriotism to celebrate the 249th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.  This Fourth of July, (scheduled for Friday, July 4), let the spirt of patriotism fill your heart with pride, gratitude, and joy for the freedoms we cherish.

Celebrate the sacrifices made for our liberties and honor the courage that paved the way for the independence we all treasure. As you enjoy the fireworks lighting up the sky, remember that every spark symbolizes hope and unity.  By embracing these values, you help inspire future generations to also honor and protect our freedoms.

So, bring your family to Cripple Creek, ring the bell for freedom, and join in the weekend celebration.

The festivities will include family-friendly games, food and beverages, live music, merchandise, classic cars, first responder vehicles, and other attractions, leading up to the spectacular night-time fireworks display sponsored by the city of Cripple Creek.  The fireworks show is regarded as one of the best in the southern Colorado area.

Stay the night and enjoy more entertainment on Saturday (July 5) including a street dance in the evening. For more information, visit the city of Cripple Creek’s tourism website, or call 719-232-2580.
