Get Your Fix for Sweets at Home of Margaret’s Munchies in Divide

Everyone, once in a while, gets a drastic urge for something sweet.

Even though many try to watch their bikini bods during the spring time, the Home of Margaret’s Munchies in Divide has lately been tempting those with a sweet tooth.

And even though it may be diet season, there’s no harm in cheating every once in a while, right? Well, anyone who has been watching the Margaret’s Munchies Facebook Page lately must have strong will power to resist the temptation of scratch-made sweets.

Like many local eateries, Home of Margaret’s Munchies in Divide always seems to do a good job of posting tasty-looking pictures to make the mouths of locals water. The eatery always comes through with holiday specials, and they were infamous for posting some delicious-looking desserts and other items that tantalized area treat-goers on Easter and Mother’s Day.

And after Easter, the restaurant’s Facebook page started launching photos of some insanely tasty treats. The bakery has the ability to make mouthwatering-desserts such as chocolate espresso cake, raspberry lemon Bundt cake, lemon blossom cookies, gluten-free almond thumb print cookies, lemon blueberry scones.

A few days later, Margaret’s Munchies sparked appetites again when they posted a photo of rhubarb blackberry pies that were fresh out of the oven. They also showed off one of their new creations they recently invented: a pineapple upside-down cheesecake! A Pina Colada cream cheese pie has also been mentioned.

But don’t forget that they offer much more than just sweets. They also recently concocted a new blended chocolate peanut banana mocha drink.

The bakery is also gifted in making hearty treats. They make a variety of fresh breads including sourdough, Italian herb and cheese sourdough and jalapeño cheddar sourdough.

Recently, when a storm came breezing into the high country and the snow started to fly, Home of Margaret’s Munchies posted a special, aimed at keeping people warm. “Hello friends, here in Divide at Home of Margaret’s Munchies: it looks like a beef stew and corn bread kind of day!!,” the eatery posted on social media on May 7.

The skilled bakers at Home of Margaret’s Munchies are also up for suggestions. On their Facebook page they advertise, “If there is something you want made let me know.”

Home of Margaret’s Munchies is located on the northwest corner of S HWY 67 and HWY 24 in Divide. They are open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
