Local Rifles Group Speaks Out on New Anti-Gun Bill
Dear Editor:
Colorado Senate Bill 25-003 was recently passed in the state legislature and signed into law by (Colorado) Governor (Jared) Polis.
Why should you care, you may be asking? Very simply, SB 2025-003 was an obituary nullifying your 2nd amendment rights in the state of Colorado.
The Teller Rifles board of directors believe that an editorial opinion is more than appropriate since part of our mission is the preservation of the 2nd Amendment. We have been very active, particularly with our town hall meetings, attempting to educate and inform our members and the public of the planned and gradual extinction of our constitutional right to own and bear arms.
Sadly, the Colorado state legislature has, by law, decided what is best for all of us.
We want to encourage all of our members to read SB 2025-003 (found on the state of CO legislative website), and to understand the consequences and restrictions, effective August 1, 2026, that will prevail. This is sad day for gun owners and enthusiasts who are residents of Colorado. We will keep you appraised of any actions that may challenge SB 2025-003. Please let your public officials, family, and friends know what the future holds for law abiding, responsible gun owners.
