Yoga. Community yoga classes are scheduled at Church in the Wildwood on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. and a newly started class on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. All the classes occur in the church’s Tatter Hall area. These popular classes are led by Lainie Thomas.
The Green Mountain Falls Planning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the GMF Town Hall. The meeting is available in-person and on Zoom.
Wednesday April 9
Wellness Walk. Scheduled for April 9 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.
Ice Castles. The infamous winter attraction has closed for the second consecutive year. For more updates regarding future Ice Castles action, visit the city of Cripple Creek’s website. The castles were opened for the 2024/2025 season in Cripple Creek from early mid-December until early March. Hopefully, the Castles will be returning for the 2025/2026 season. For the past season, two Colorado sites were available for this attraction.

TOPS. Takes Off Pounds Sensibly. Meets every Thursday morning at 9 a.m. in the basement of Church in the Wildwood (10585 Ute Pass Ave.) Green Mountain Falls, CO 80819. Affordable, effective weight-loss.

Spring Business Expo. The public is invited to attend Woodland Park’s largest business expo and marketplace with a wide range of exhibitors. Scheduled for April 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ute Pass Cultural Center. Meet face to face with local businesspeople ready to talk about a variety of products and services offered including banking, financial, business services, construction, home maintenance and repair, healthcare, senior housing and more. The event is free. Great fun with door prizes given away at the close of the event. The Business Expo is sponsored by the Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce and UC Health. Final weekend for The Butler Did It Again. Don’t miss the final shows for the new sequel, now debuting at the Butte Theater in Cripple Creek on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, through April 13. Written by the “master of the outrageous comedy mysteries,” this is a much requested follow-up to the ever-popular The Butler Did It. Publisher and socialite, indomitable Miss Maple rents a plantation house, complete with menacing alligator, in the frightening swap land of Louisiana. She wants to introduce her latest literary discovery, Ruth Dice, who has written a first novel entitled Conversations with a Ghoul. The plans for the night change when the owner of the house is found murdered! WHODUNNIT!? It’s up to the flakey detective writers to unravel the puzzle. Best Of Results Finalized. Bragging rights have been determined (at least for 2025) for the Best of Cripple Creek, Woodland Park and the Teller County High Country. This annual contest, sponsored by TMJ, represents the oldest and most competitive “Best Of” showdown in the region. The voting and result tabulation has concluded, and we appreciate the amazing support. If your favorite business or personality didn’t win, there is always next year. A summary of the results, which appeared in our March 18 and March 25 issues, will appear online and on our Facebook page, in case you missed those issues. The competition featured more than 70 categories, giving voters a chance to pick their favorites for best casinos, restaurants, bars, live entertainment hubs, top businesses, retail treasures and much more, including championship fights for top burgers, steaks, seafood, pizza, Mexican enticing dishes and margaritas, and picks for top dining and the most festive atmosphere. And let’s not forget the always intense individual competitions for best personalities, bartenders, wait staff, politicians, trouble-makers and rumor mongers. State of the City Breakfast. Join us for the State of the City Breakfast, where you will gain valuable insights, connect with community leaders, and be inspired by the vision for our city’s future. Easter Egg Hunt. The Easter Bunny is coming to Cripple Creek Parks and Recreation! Get ready for an action-packed egg hunt on April 19 at the Cripple Creek Parks and Recreation City Park, with the line-up starting at 12:30 p.m. and the actual hunt ensues at 1 p.m. This is when kids ages 0-12 can scramble for colorful eggs and trade them for sweet treats and fantastic prizes. Pirates of the Caribbean. Aaargh! Come and play for some booty during the monthly bingo session, sponsored by the Ute Pass Kiwanis Club and hosted by the Shining Mountain golf course. The event is scheduled for April 24 at 6:30 p.m. at Shining Mountain. It will mark your last chance to enter to win our $10.000 raffle! The drawing is at this bingo! It will be a night of rollicking fun, my maties! $20 gets you a packet for 10 bingo games. You can also get a chance at the 50/50 pot for $5! After Hours. Chamber Business After Hours is Teller County’s largest networking event. All Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce members are encouraged to attend. The next After Hours event is scheduled for April 22 at the Woodland Professional Building, 400 W. Midland Avenue in Woodland Park, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Take advantage of this opportunity to network and catch up with your friends, clients and customers, plus meet new members in an informal setting. Business After Hours is a great way to share information about your business and learn about other members. Fun, food, drinks and door prizes.

Shining Mountain Winter Activities. Even though the Shining Mountain golf course in Woodland Park is closed for the winter season, the spacious bar is open for a variety of events on Mondays and Wednesdays, featuring line-dancing and cornball competitions. The bar will be open these nights, starting at about 6 p.m. The SM facility is also for Ute Pass Kiwanis Bingo nights. Drink specials are available.
