Wellness Walk. Scheduled for Dec. 11 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.

Open Mike Night. The Ute Pass Cultural Center hosts a FREE Community Concert every 2nd Wednesday of the month. Show off your talents in music, theatre, poetry, comedy and so much more! If you have a voice, we want to hear it! Open to the public and free to join! Come share your skills and meet so many other talented people! Or, feel free to come an enjoy the talent as a spectator and see what Woodland Park has to offer! The special Open Mic Night is scheduled for Dec. 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. UPCC Bar will be open for some yummy drinks! Miracle on Mistletoe Mountain Debut. This Christmas show is hosted by the Butte Theater in Cripple Creek and it runs from Nov. 29 to Dec. 29 with a variety of performances scheduled throughout the week.  It’s Christmas in Cripple Creek, and Clara, an angel treading on thin ice with her heavenly bosses, receives a last chance at redemption. Tasked with aiding Joe and Molly Kelly, proprietors of a boarding house for the downtrodden, Clara must thwart the nefarious plans of Mr. Parker, a conniving tycoon bent on seizing their beloved home. Echoing the timeless charm of It’s a Wonderful Life, this captivating tale is a tribute to love and sacrifice set against the backdrop of the exhilarating Cripple Creek gold rush era. Join us for a heartwarming journey that celebrates the true spirit of Christmas!

Gold Camp Christmas. Escape from the modern distractions and celebrate an old-fashioned Christmas in Cripple Creek and Victor from mid-November through December 31. Holiday activities will kick off with the nightly Gold Camp Christmas Holiday Headframe Lighting throughout Cripple Creek and Victor. Experience the lights in the Gold Camp by taking a drive (with your favorite Christmas tunes playing) on a self-guided tour through our area as our mine headframes are decorated with large Christmas light displays. Saturday, Dec. 14

Gold Camp Christmas Parade. Join us on Saturday, December 14,to celebrate “The Magic of Christmas.” Line up starts at 11 a.m. on East Carr Avenue to Lode Street (Next to the CC&V Narrow Gauge Railroad parking lot at Hwy 67 & Carr Avenue). The parade kicks off at noon along historic Bennett Avenue – moving east to west – with the parade ending at 1st St. Judges will begin during parade line-up at 11:30 a.m. Final judging takes place along the route and in front of the Aspen Mine Center. Trophies this year will be awarded for:
Best Use of Theme Award; Most Creative Award; Grand Marshal Award; Mayor’s Choice Award; and Jr. Judge Choice Award Following the parade, we’ll head to the Aspen Mine Center to roast some Smores and visit with Santa! Cripple Creek Craft Fair. We’ve been fortunate to have vendors from across the state sell their goods at our Annual Craft Fair, scheduled from on Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the CC Parks and Recreation center. This is a very popular event for the Gold Camp Christmas festivities. Spaces sell out quickly, if you wish to participate. So, reserve your spot by calling Cripple Creek Parks and Recreation today. New Year’s Eve at UPCC (Ute Pass Cultural Center): Last Disco of 2024. Indulge in an evening filled with excitement, laughter, and joy as we bid farewell to the current year and welcome the new one. Our celebration promises to be a night to remember, with a live DJ, delicious food, and an energetic ambiance that will keep you dancing all night long.The $55 ticket includes delicious food served all night long as well as dessert, a prize or activity every hour, two drink tickets, a champagne toast and an amazing experience. Ice Castles. The infamous winter attraction is right around the corner. Tickets are on sale soon!!!  The castle will open mid-December depending on the weather. Please go to https://icecastles.com/cripple-creek-colorado to purchase your tickets for this event.  Click on the “Buy Tickets” button to reveal the dates that tickets are available. Click on your desired date to reveal the times that are available for that day.  It is strongly recommended that you purchase tickets online to assure availability. Dates currently posted for booking are the PEAK DATES to make sure you can get your reservations in early. The Ice Castles build team is working hard to get open around the end of December. Ticket availability will be expanded by the Ice Castle staff as they know better when they will be opening.   Cripple Creek is proud to be the Colorado host for Ice Castles again this year.  This is a timed ticketed event, which means only a set number of tickets are sold for each session.  This allows you to know when to arrive and keeps the number of visitors at a manageable level.  Ticket sales are done online and walk-up tickets are typically not available. Ice Castle Hours include Wednesday from 4 to 9 p.m.; Thursdays from 4 to 9 p.m; Fridays from 3 to 11 p.m.; Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.  The attraction is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.  For information and details about parking, visit the city of Cripple Creek’s tourism website.
