It’s onto Week 12 in the world of NFL Madness and what locals were hoping would finally become the year of a Denver Broncos’ rebound. So far, that rebound has encountered a wild journey, with plenty of ups and downs; and unfortunately, some heartbreaking and tough losses.
But as a whole, the Broncos have fared better than what most critics and insiders predicted at the start of the season.
The team has encountered some ugly times, such as a recent outing against the Baltimore Ravens. They then suffered a tough loss against the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, even though they clearly out-played the Chief-heads, who find bizarre ways to win every week. In certain weeks, the Broncos looked mighty impressive, such as when they walloped the Panthers, Saints and Buccaneers. If anything, the Bronco weekly carnival has not been lacking in entertainment.
This Sunday, the Broncos travel to Vegas for another rematch against the Raiders, the evil empire. This is still a great rivalry, despite the fact that both teams aren’t quite as good as years past. Game time is 2:05, perfect time for a hearty lunch and a cold one at one of our infamous sports bar/eatery hangouts.
Hopefully, all bugs will get worked out in the Bronco offense, and Rookie Quarterback and Captain Bo Nix (who is now being compared with a more efficient version of Tim Tebow), will exhibit the traits he demonstrated in their beatings of the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints.
If you are looking for a great place to take in the game, don’t forget McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub in Divide, the sponsor of our fine NFL Page and Broncos’ preview. McGinty’s, with their sports bar setup and winner of many Best Of awards in the High Country, offers a prime opportunity to view nearly all of the NFL games and partake in some great game food and drink specials. McGinty’s also sports a loyal group of Bronco fans and some enthusiastic cynics too.
Overall, it is a great game atmosphere. Additionally, McGinty’s sports a friendly staff and has food entrees just made for Bronco football. It also is a prime spot for Thursday night games, which aren’t easily available to most fans, and of course, college ball.
Other than the Broncos, there are some great games in store this weekend across the NFL TV screens. If Broncos’ football isn’t your thing, check out the rivalries of rivalries, when the Cowboys and Commanders square off earlier in the day, or the 49ers/ Packers battle, or the Eagles versus the Rams.
Enjoy Week 12
