WPHS Senior Zehan Rogers Named Semifinalist in 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program

Woodland Park School District (WPSD) and Woodland Park High School (WPHS) proudly announce that senior Zehan Rogers has been named a semifinalist in the prestigious 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Zehan is one of over 16,000 semifinalists nationwide who now have the opportunity to compete for approximately 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million.
The National Merit Scholarship Program recognizes academically talented high school seniors; semifinalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. To advance to the finalist level, Zehan must fulfill several requirements, including submitting a detailed application highlighting academic achievements, leadership experience, and participation in community activities. Additionally, Zehan will need to confirm his PSAT/NMSQT performance with qualifying SAT or ACT scores, write an essay, and receive a recommendation from WPHS.
Zehan’s achievement exemplifies the dedication and commitment to academic excellence at WPHS and reflects the support provided by the WPSD. “I am extremely proud of Zehan and his accomplishments,” said Secondary Campus Principal Dr. Tory Richey. “This recognition is a testament to his hard work, and we look forward to supporting him as he continues in the process.”
National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced in stages between April and July 2025, and winners will earn the title of Merit Scholar. Congratulations to Zehan on this remarkable achievement, and good luck as you take the next steps to become a finalist!
