Chamber After Hours. The Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce will feature its monthly After Hours gathering on Oct. 17 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 361 West Hwy. 24. The free event is being hosted by Vectra Bank, Fidelity National Title and ABC Printing. The Chamber After Hours are one of the prime monthly marketing, business and social gatherings for the local business community. The Green Mountain Falls Board of Trustees will meet on Oct. 17 at the GMF Town Hall, starting at 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 18
Wellness Walk. Scheduled for Oct. 18 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission
The Cripple Creek City Council will meet on Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the CC Council Chambers. Also, earlier in the afternoon, the council will host a workshop to discuss possible plans for an expansion of the Henry Hack recreation facility. That meeting, which won’t involve any votes, is slated for 3 p.m. The city has considered expansions of its recreation center in the past, but these efforts never came to fruition.

Shining Mountain Links Activity. The Shining Mountain Golf Course and clubhouse bar in Woodland Park is still open for the 2023 season and is offering special fall adjusted rates. Tee-times are available, weather permitting, starting at 9 a.m. Conditions are excellent for this time of the year, and the facility has undergone many improvements. In addition, the driving range and practice chipping and putting greens are open for practice. Also, don’t miss the SM’s infamous Thursday Night trivia parties. Munchkin Market. Munchkin Market is a semi-annual fundraiser for the Ute Pass MOPS (mothers of preschoolers). The three-day event is regarded as Teller County’s Best Children’s Consignment Sale. You will find everything your kiddos need from clothes and books to bikes and toys for all age Thousands of clothing items are offered, but we have so much more! We also have a wide assortment of furniture, seasonal gear, decor, games, puzzles, maternity/nursing items, toys for all ages, costumes, feeding accessories, and more! Admission is always free for the event, scheduled at Woodland Park Community Church, at 800 Valley View Drive, Woodland Park. Public sales hours are Oct. 19 from 3 to 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 20 from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. During the final day, all items are 50 percent off.
The Woodland Park City Council will meet Oct. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Woodland Park Council Chambers, next to city hall. The meeting is available in-person and on Zoom.

Chamber Fall Business Expo. The public is invited to attend Woodland Park’s largest business expo with a wide range of exhibitors. The event is hosted by the Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce on Oct. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. and will be held at the Ute Pass Cultural Center. Meet face to face with local business people ready to talk about a variety of products and services offered including banking, financial, business services, construction, home maintenance and repair, healthcare, senior housing and more. Arts and Crafts Fair. The Chipita Park Association will host the 19th Annual Arts & Crafts Fair, scheduled for Nov. 4-5 at Marcroft Hall, 9105 Chipita Park Road, Chipita Park. The times for Saturday (Nov. 4) are from 9-4, while on Sunday (Nov. 5), it be held from 10-3. The fair features 20-plus vendors with one-of-a-kind items including pottery, wood crafts, artistic greeting cards, items from the Ute Pass Historical Society, and much more. Truck or Treat. Bring all the goblins and ghouls to a frightfully fun time in Cripple Creek. Appropriate costumes are suggested because everything will be outdoors. Munchkins, ghosts, dragons, and witches and warlocks will be crawling, skipping, and slithering their way through the maze of decorated vehicles. Don’t miss the excitement from 5 to 7 p.m. on Halloween night. Trunks will be set up on 1st Street south of Bennett Ave, and along Masonic Ave, next to the Parks & Rec Building. Families, businesses, and clubs are invited to decorate your trunk and enter to win a prize in specific categories. Cash donations are also being collected to help with the candy purchase.
