Panther Soccer Team Ranks in the Top 10

The Woodland Park Boys Soccer team continues to make history as they moved their all time best season record to 9-1-2 this week.

They played the Widefield Gladiators on Tuesday to a 0 to 0 draw. Noah Magestrelli and Caden Howard led the shutout on defense. Man of the Match went to Noah Magestrelli.

Thursday night was Senior night and the boys last home game vs the Thunder from Lamar HS. The Panthers led from start to finish, defeating Lamar 2 to 0. Ryder James and Nick Thime scored for Woodland Park as Noah Magestrelli recorded his fourth consecutive shutout in goal. Harrier Lehman Smith received Man of the Match recognition.

The Panthers are currently in first place in the 3A Tri-Peaks League and are striving for history in the next three games as they battle to secure the Panther boys first ever home playoff game. And for the first time in program history, they are ranked in the top 10, ranked 10th out of 56 teams.

The boys play next week at Atlas Prep on Tuesday at 4 pm and Manitou Springs on Thursday at 6 p.m.
