You deserve a break this summer! Come to Cripple Creek and indulge yourself by attending our fun events! Curious what is happening this year?
Events will be happening throughout most of the summer and fall seasons, so make sure to stay caught up on what events are happening currently.
Here are some highlights of the bustling event and festival season in Cripple Creek.
May 27th-September 2nd: Historical Trolley Tours. Take a step back into history with The Gold Camp Victorian Society’s Historic Gold Camp Trolley Tours. Tours happen each Saturday beginning at the District Museum at 1PM.
June 23th-July 3rd: Once Upon A Time In the West Art Show. This beautiful art show is celebrating its 26th Anniversary this year! This exhibition is located in the Cripple Creek Heritage Center from 9 AM-5 PM every day.
July 4th: Gold Camp 4th of July & Citywide Fireworks: Cripple Creek, Colorado is known for large 4th of July celebrations. The Gold Camp 4th of July is sponsored by American Legion Post 171, will have fun activities, vendors, a beer garden, and will end with the largest fireworks show in the area that will start at approximately 9:30 PM.
July 1st: Music at the Depot-Slopeside. Featuring food, beverages, and live music at the Cripple Creek District Museum.
July 22nd: Parks & Recreation 5K @ 10K Poker Run/Walk. Parks and Recreation hosts a 5K run at 10,000 feet (10K).
July 22rd: Pearl DeVere Day Celebration & Bed Races. Come join the annual bed races in honor of Pearl DeVere. This fun day comes with food, beverages, tours of the Old Homestead House, live music and more!
July 29th-August 6th: Teller County Fair. Cripple Creek’s annual fair. Fun for kids and adults alike.
August 1st: National Night Out. Hosted by the Cripple Creek Police Department, this free event has games, activities, prizes, music, and food.
August 5th: Music at the Depot-Wire Wood Station. Featuring food, beverages, and live music at the Cripple Creek District Museum.
August 5th: Parks and Recreation Disc Golf Tournament. This Disk Golf Tournament is the perfect outdoor fall activity.
August 11th-13th: 92nd Annual Donkey Derby Days. Celebrate the famous Cripple Creek Donkeys with donkey races, a parade, vendors, food, beer, live music, and more! Donkey Derby Days is hosted by the Two Mile High Club and all proceeds go to the local donkeys!
August 20th: Pikes Peak Memorial Wall Dedication. This ceremony honors those in the Armed Forces from the area. Join us for free in remembrance of these heroes at 1 PM in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
August 26th: Parks and Recreation BMX Races. Want to show off your BMX skills? The Parks and Recreation BMX Race is the perfect opportunity to show off your skills.
September 2nd: Music at the Depot-Collective Groove. Featuring food, beverages, and live music at the Cripple Creek District Museum.
September 16th & 17th: Mt. Pisgah Speaks, Cemetery Tours. Join the Gold Camp Victorian Society as they bring those buried in Mt. Pisgah back to life. Tours depart from the Cripple Creek District Museum every 30 minutes.
September 30th: Music at the Depot-High Lonesome Colorado Bluegrass. Featuring food, beverages, and live music at the Cripple Creek District Museum.
September 30th– October 1st & October 7th – 8th: Two Mile High Club Aspen Tours. These self-guided tours lead you around the prettiest fall viewing locations in the area. Stop by the Heritage Center or City Hall Pocket Park to pick up a map. All proceeds go to the Cripple Creek donkeys.
