Wellness Walk. Scheduled for March 29 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.

Miss Priss Clothing Ribbon Cutting. Join us at a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate the NEW LOCATION of Miss Priss Clothing Boutique in Woodland Park at 118 W. Midland Avenue.  Miss Priss and the Chamber invites you to come join with them at the Ribbon Cutting to be held on May 30 at NOON. The event, sponsored by the Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce, will be held between 12 and 12:30 p.m. This will serve as kick off for their Grand Opening Week, starting on April 1, 2023. Teller County Playgroup, hosted by Community Partnership at 701 Gold Hill Place in Woodland Park, is FREE to any Parent or Caregiver with children ages 5 & under. Older siblings welcome.
Come meet a great group of friends for you and your little one! Exchange wisdom and support with other parents while exploring the world with your child through music, movement, arts and crafts, free play, story-time, field trips, and themed structured activities. Meeting three times a week, Playgroup offers opportunities for developmental screenings, school readin​ess assessments, and information on local resources. Upcoming

WP Government Meetings.  The Woodland Park Downtown Development Authority will meet on April 4 at 7:30 a.m.  The Woodland Park City Council will meet on April 6 at 7 p.m. The Woodland Park Planning Commission will meet on April 13 at 6:30 p.m.  All of the above-mentioned meetings will be held at the WP Council Chambers, next to city hall. Teller County Meeting Change. The Teller County Commissioners will meet on April 11 at the Centennial Building in Cripple Creek at 9:15 a.m.  This  marks a change from their normal meeting times, which generally occur on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.

Best of Cripple Creek and the Teller High County, The results are now official on 70-plus categories, published in the March 14 and March 21 issues. Thank you for all who participated, as more than 10,000 ballots were cast. A winner recap will be posted in next week’s issue of TMJ.  Also, the results are available online by viewing www.mountainjackpot.com. or by viewing our Facebook page. Look for future articles in TMJ, highlighting some of the winners and finalists.

Newmont Open House. Newmont CC&V would like to invite the community to visit us at the Heritage Center in Cripple Creek on April 4 from 10am – 4pm to ask any questions, share any concerns, or chat with us about anything related to the community or mining!  Stop in and see our External Relations Representatives and explore the Heritage Center while you are there. Greater WP Chamber’s Spring Business Expo. The public is invited to attend Woodland Park’s largest business expo with a wide range of exhibitors. Meet face to face with local business people ready to talk about a variety of products and services offered including banking, financial, business services, construction, home maintenance and repair, healthcare, senior housing and more. Great fun with door prizes given away at the close of the event. The event, sponsored by UCHealth, will be held on April 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Ute Pass Cultural Center. The Swing Factory and In-House Big Band recital, sponsored by the Woodland Park Wind Symphony, will occur in Woodland Park at the Mountain View United Methodist Church, 1101 Rampart Range Road, on April 16 at 2:30 p.m.  Donations will go to the Church – the Woodland Park Wind Symphony organization thanks the Church for its support and use of its facilities.
