WOW!!! The 24th annual Pearl’s Follies held on March 4th was an amazing success.
We went back to our roots where number 1 was held, Cripple Creek Elks Club, and how wonderful they treated us. We may not have had as many seats to offer but it was very successful, raising $7,500. We the board of directors for the museum would like to take this opportunity to say Thank you to all those that made it the great event it was and for supporting us over the years. Your love helps us keep the 127-year-old house cared for and the museum open for the public to enjoy and learn from
Three groups were totally responsible for the special evening for all in attendance, we can’t thank you enough and we couldn’t have done it without you all. First Miramont Castle Museum’s staff who prepared and served an absolutely amazing dinner, can’t believe you offered to do this for the cost of the food, what a special gift from you. Thanks goes to the Elks Club members who worked so hard setting up and making sure we were taken care of. We were pleased to showcase the CC/V high school culinary class, their Hors D’oeuvres, and serving was enjoyed by all, keep up the good work young folks and instructors.
Thank you to our sponsors who made our event special a cost free event for the Old Homestead House Board, thus our ending balance was better. A huge Thank you to our Title Sponsor, The Mercantile and Gold Camp Café. Also appreciated sponsors: Black Hills Energy, Bronco Billy’s Casino, and Triple Crown Casinos.
Helping us with entertainment was Marty Wayne whose magic show was fun and the ever appreciated Lays Brothers (Bob, Martin & Rick) along with their accompanist Wayne, always start us off with a bang. The Band “Rodeo Road Apples” did not disappoint, thanks for traveling up to Cripple Creek.
Several others donated items for Live and silent auction: Colorado Mountain Man Survival, Creation Everlasting, Brain & Lisa Wheatcraft, John and Mikki Freeman, The Creek restaurant, the Cliff House, Karen and Steve Zoellner, Cripple Creek Liquors, Fear, Crawford & Bumgarner families, The Survival University, Hall Ranch, Malissa Gish, Caitlyn Morissette, Tony Baca, Gold Country Realty, Fox in the Snow Designs, Bridget O’Hara, Big R stores, & Cody Schwab. Those donations were for sure a part of our success.
Most importantly thank you to the residents who come out year after year and support the event. We can never mention ever person or group who purchases a table and sells us out before we even get started. You always beg us to do it again, and you show your appreciation by showing up in droves. You make it worth the effort and we do appreciate the support.
We apologize to anyone we may have missed in this thank you letter, and understand we didn’t do it on purpose. You are appreciated we are just forgetful sometimes.
Again, thanks to all,
The Old Homestead House Museum Board
