Wellness Walk. Scheduled for Jan. 4  at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.

The Cripple Creek City Council will hold its first meeting of 2023 on Jan. 4 at 5:30 p.m. in the CC Council Chambers.

The Woodland Park City Council will hold their first meeting of 2023 on Jan. 5.  The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the council chambers, next to city hall, starting at 7 p.m.

Fitness Fair. Fitness On the Mountain Health, Wellness and Fitness Fair, scheduled for  January 7 at the Pikes Peak Community Center, 11122 US Hwy 24 in Divide from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fitness On the Mountain is excited to sponsor its first Health, Wellness and Fitness Fair. We care about our community members and our local businesses. Our goals: 1. Bring awareness to the community of the many local resources available to us in the fields of health, wellness and fitness here in Teller County. 2. Final Broncos Game of the year.  Wet your tongue and gouge on a burger or whatever at your favorite local sports bar/eatery for the final Denver Broncos game of the year. Maybe, we will win. Game time is tentatively slated for 2 p.m. as the Broncs take on the Chargers (see related story).

The Woodland Park Downtown Development Authority will hold its first meeting of 2023 on Jan. 10 at 7:30 a.m. in the WP Council Chambers.

Swearing-in ceremony. A number of elected leaders will officially get sworn into office on Jan. 10 during a special ceremony in the Centennial Building, scheduled for the  morning of Jan. 10, as the county commissioners host their first meeting of 2023.

Chamber Business After Hours is Teller County’s largest networking event.  All Greater Woodland Park Chamber of Commerce members are encouraged to attend.  Take advantage of this opportunity to network and catch up with your friends, clients and customers plus meet new members in an informal setting.  Business After Hours is a great way to share information about your business and learn about other members.
