Robert “Bob” Leininger who served as the publisher and editor of The Mountain Jackpot (TMJ News) and earlier its predecessor publication The High Mountain Sun, passed away recently in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Bob was an integral part of TMJ News for years, and was known for his unique “Hunter Thompson” style and amazing sense of humor. Bob is shown here during a candid staff meeting at a local drinking establishment; and with his daughter Taylor, who works in the health care field in the New England area. Besides his work with TMJ, Leininger ran a variety of publications in Colorado, Missouri, and North Carolina. The last year or so has been a rough time for the region, with the departure of a score of popular and distinct personalities.
