The Woodland Park Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors will hold an open meeting on Jan. 5 at 7:30 a.m. in the Woodland Park Council Chambers. The meeting, open to the public, will deal with such subjects as a reimbursement agreement with the owners of the Trail Ridge Apartments and a discussion on a DDA district expansion. The public is invited to attend, but some issues will be held in executive session.

The Green Mountain Falls Board of Trustees will meet on Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. in the GMF Town Hall.

Wednesday, Jan. 6

TSC (Teller Senior Coalition) Transit is excited to announce our bus service on Wednesdays in Woodland Park. This is a joint venture with Cripple Creek Transit to provide much needed transportation service between Cripple Creek and Woodland Park. TSC Transit will be picking up from the Senior Center and will be making stops at Pikes Peak Family Medicine, Pikes Peak Regional Hospital, City Market, Safeway, Walgreens, Walmart, and the Department of Social Services upon request. Cripple Creek Transit will bring Cripple Creek residents down to the Woodland Park Senior Center where they can board TSC Transit for shopping, doctor’s appointments, and other errands. Woodland Park residents can board Cripple Creek transit to enjoy breakfast and sight-seeing in Cripple Creek. Bus fare for Cripple Creek Transit is $5 for a round trip.

The Cripple Creek City Council will meet on Jan. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at city hall.

Beginner and Intermediate Ice Skating Lessons. Learning to ice skate is not just for kids. This program is offered to anyone 5 years and older. Just learning to skate or have some skating skills? Come join us for a fun learning experience in an all-natural outdoor rink at Meadow Wood Sports Skating Rink in Woodland Park. Participants will need their own skates. The classes will be held on Jan. 6, 13, 20 and 27. The beginner class will be held from 4:30 TO 5:15 p.m., while the intermediate class is scheduled from 5:15 to 6 p.m. Call Judy Bundy for more information at 719-687-5225.

TOPS, Take Off Pounds Sensibly. The original nonprofit weight-loss group is an educational support group providing weekly weigh-ins and programs to help members make positive changes in the role food plays in their lives. Learn about Windows 10. This class teaches some of the new features of Windows 10 for users that are already familiar with Windows. You will learn how to use new navigation features, searching, using new apps, and the new Edge browser. The class will be held at the Florissant Public Library on Jan 7 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
