Flood Awareness Meeting

A community meeting will be held on April 24 in the Manitou Springs City Hall, 606 Manitou Avenue, at 6:30 p.m. to advise residents on how to make preparations and protect their properties from potential floods that may occur this summer and fall, as a result of the Waldo Canyon burn scar.  The meeting is being hosted by the El Paso County government and will feature representatives from the U.S. Forest Service, National Weather Service, Coalition of Upper South Platte, Rocky Mountain Insurance Agency, El Paso County Office of Emergency Management, El Paso County Department of Transportation and many more agencies, along with key elected leaders in the area.
