From Cresson Elementary

By: Miriam Mondragon

If the Aspen trees haven’t given you warning, the sudden chill in the air will. Fall is here and that means colder weather. We want all of our Cresson students to be warm and toasty while outdoors; so Cresson ES is hosting a Coat Drive for our 1st Quarter Community Giving Tree project. Over the next few weeks, Giving Tree students will be placing boxes throughout the school to collect coats in.

At the end of October, the Giving Tree students will present their coat collection to the Aspen Mine Center. If you have any coats that are in good condition that can be donated, please send them in! A very special “Thank You” must be extended to Bob Tretheway; Director of Christmas Unlimited for helping Cresson ES acquire boxes of school supplies. Wanda Spoerl and Charlie Luck were ready, willing and able to help unload the truck which was packed full even in the front seat! Christmas Unlimited has partnered with us as a resource for the Elks Christmas Basket project for many years to help the families in CCV area. TOGETHER, we can help every Cresson student reach their full potential!
