National Night Out. Join the Cripple Creek Police Department National Night Out, scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 4 from 3 to 7 p.m. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. There will be Games, Activities, Food, Prizes Music and More, and will be held in the Cripple Creek City Park at the corner of 1st and Bennett. In addition, a variety of other Night Out festivities will be held in Memorial Park in Woodland Park from 5 to 8 p.m., sponsored by first responders in the Woodland Park and the northern Teller area.
Yoga classes meet at the Church in the Wildwood in Green Mountain Falls on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m., plus Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. For details, call 719-213-0848.
The Green Mountain Falls Board of Trustees will meet on Aug. 4 at 7 p.m. at the GMF Town Hall. The meeting is available in-person and via the city’s website.

Wellness Walk. Scheduled for Aug. 5 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises are available to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.

Friday, Aug. 7
Farmers Market. The Woodland Park Farmers Market is in full swing for the season. This popular event takes place Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. from June through September in Memorial Park on Henrietta and Center Street. It is part of the Teller County Farmers Market Association organization which provides a forum for sales of local produce and items associated with agriculture, garden & food. The association, originally formed in 1990 as Woodland Park Farmers Market, is operated by volunteers and administered by a Board of Directors. Links Fever. The Shining Mountain golf course is in full swing for the 2026 season. Contrary to past years, this season marks the first time the links property is under the ownership and management of the city of Woodland Park. Check the new Shining Mountain Facebook page, via the city of Woodland Park, this summer or call 719-687-7587 or check with information at the SM pro shop. Many key tournaments and charity events and special fund-raisers are scheduled throughout the summer and early fall, including the Law Enforcement tournament in mid-August and a fund-raiser for the new Octoberfest event. Chamonix Casino & Resort Concerts. Upcoming music concerts at Chamonix Casino & Resort in Cripple Creek continue through the summer of 2026. The lineup includes major tribute acts and dinner shows.
