Steve and Karen Zoellner Receive Special Community Recognition

The board of directors for the Old Homestead House Museum made a special honorary tribute to long-time community leaders, Steve and Karen Zoellner.

Steve and Karen recently resigned from the Old Homestead House Museum board, which oversees the functions of one of the town’s most well-known tourist attractions.   Although the Zoellners are stepping down, board leaders say their years of support need to be recognized.  During the recent Pearl’s Follies fund-raiser, Board President Kirstie Crawford presented them with a certificate making them life-time members of the museum and shared these wonderful words.

“For years, Steve and Karen have been pillars of our community, offering unwavering support, not just with their generous contributions, but with their time, their energy, and their genuine passion for preserving our local history.,” said Board President Crawford. “They’ve been there through thick and thin, through projects big and small, always with a smile and a willingness to lend a hand. They have understood the importance of this museum, not just as a building, but as a living testament to our past, a place where stories are kept alive for future generations. Their commitment has been invaluable, and we simply wouldn’t be where we are today without them.”

Words alone can’t express our deep gratitude, but our organization wanted to find a way to honor their incredible contributions, explained the board president. “It is my absolute pleasure to present Steve and Karen Zoellner with a lifetime membership to the museum, added Crawford.  “This membership symbolizes more than just free admission; it represents a lifetime of gratitude, a lasting connection to the place they’ve helped to nurture, and a heartfelt thank you for their unwavering support. Steve and Karen, your legacy is etched into the very walls of the Old Homestead House Museum. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for everything. We are forever grateful.”
