The Woodland Park Downtown Development Authority Board will meet at 7:30 a.m. in the Woodland Park City Council Chambers, next to city hall. The meeting is available in-person and on Zoom.
Election Day, 2024. The big day has arrived. Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. is the absolute deadline for returning ballots. Ballots were mailed out to registered voters for Tuesday’s elections, capped by a number of key national, state and local races and ballot propositions. Voters have a variety of options, including using three mail ballot drop-off boxes, located in Woodland Park, Divide and Cripple Creek; using the designated voter service and polling center, located at the WP Library, and in other parts of the county on election day. For most Green Mountain Falls and lower Ute Pass residents, contact the clerk and recorder’s office in El Paso County for questions. Wellness Walk. Scheduled for Oct. 30 at the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center at 9 a.m. Meet at the upper level and choose a one, two or three-mile hike. Maps are available. Healthy living tips and mindfulness exercises to enhance your walk. Dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water. Free admission.

Friday, Nov. 8
Hug A Tree. Basic survival and wilderness safety for kids and beginners. The event is hosted by Mueller State Park and is scheduled for Nov. 8 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Visitor Center of the state park, located at 21045 Hwy. 67 South. It is available for participants ages 5 and up. Guardians should attend with children. For more information, call Anna Miller at 719-687-2366. The program is free, but a park pass is required to access the park.
Stand Up Comedy at the Ute Pass Cultural Center. Come join us for a hilarious evening of live comedy at the Ute Pass Cultural Center on Friday, Nov. 8, featuring top Colorado comedians. This 18 and up show is geared toward adults so please leave the kids at home. The bar will be open starting at 6 pm and Prime Kitchen Food Truck will be serving up some delicious dinner. Doors open at 6:00 pm – the UPCC bar will be open and it is open seating so come early to save a spot. Show starts at 7:00 pm – Live Stand Up Comedy.
