Wow, how lucky are we to live in a community that really cares, Pearl’s Follies held on March 3rd was another success, with around 220 folks in attendance and one of most finanicially successful nights ever. We cleared just shy of $5,000.00. We the board of directors for the museum would like to take this opportunity to say Thank you to all those that made it the great event it was.
First thank you to some businesses who helped make the event special, foremost a big Thank you to The Double Eagle Hotel and Casino for donating the use of the Event Center and to their staff who all went above and beyond to help us make sure the evening was special and ran smoothly. To our other event sponsors Cripple Creek/Victor Gold Mining Company and Century Casino, whose donations helped us with up front costs and advertising.
Several others donated food, purchased tables, donated items for silent auction Wildwood Casino, Bronco Billy’s Casino, Colorado Grande Casino, Community Bank of Colorado, The Creek Restaurant, Triple Crown Casinos, Big Jim’s Casino, Ralf’s Breakroom, Sysco Foods, Creation Everlasting, Brain Wheatcraft and Madame Susan Austion(Mustang Ranch) Thanks for your support. Thanks also to the Creek, Ralf’s Breakroom and Gold Strike Inn for helping with cooking some other donated food.
Also a special Thank you to the band “RODEO ROAD APPLES” for leading us their expertise and providing sound system to be used by all performers. It was special that you came all the way from Kit Carson to help us have a successful evening.
A very special thank you to those that performed, without your help we wouldn’t have a show. Those folks are: Morgan Gengo, Brandie Larson, Katy Graves, Mark Snare,Bill Snyder, Greg Brazil, Trudy Evans, and the Poverty Gulch Gang. Thanks also to Mel Moiser for being our MC and for bringing along the Christmas Donkey (Step Hillard) to add to our laughter.
Most importantly thank you to the residents who come out year after year and support the event. You always beg us to do it again, and you show your appreciation by showing up in droves. You make it worth the effort and we do appreciate the support.
We apologize to anyone we may have missed in this thank you letter, and understand we didn’t do it on purpose. You are appreciated we are just forgetful sometimes.
Again thanks to all,
